Our Glandular Therapy Complex includes: (The following natural plant sterols & nutritents)
Beta-Sitosterol - Over the past few years, concentrated extracts of this particular phytosterol have been tested for lowering cholesterol and lessening such discomforts of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) as frequent and painful urination.
Behenic Acid - A constituent of most fats and fish oils. Large amounts are found in jamba, mustard seed, rapeseed oils, and cerebrosides. Also known as n-docosanoic acid, this is a fat that burns fat.
Beta-Ecdysone - Helps increase nitrogen retention and protein synthesis
Campesterol - Transporter expressed in the liver that regulates biliary sterol secretion. The observed inverse relation between hepatic clearance and intestinal absorption of cholesterol and campesterol supports the hypothesis that campesterol also supports intestinal sterol absorption.
Capsicum - Cannot be equaled by any known agent when a powerful and prolonged stimulant is needed, as in congestive chills, heart failure, and other conditions calling for quick action. The entire circulation is affected by this agent and there is no negative reaction.
Cytochrome C - Cytochrome c oxidase, the terminal enzyme in the respiratory chain, is located in the inner membrane of mitochondria and bacteria. It catalyses the reduction of dioxygen to water and pumps an additional proton across the membrane for each proton consumed in the reaction. The resulting electro-chemical gradient is used elsewhere, for instance in the synthesis of ATP.
Dimethylglycine (DMG) - DMG helps the body to more efficiently utilize nutrients, and oxygen, at the cellular level.
Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) - A chemical substance found in chromosomes believed to be the substance that determines the manner in which healthy cells grow
Fucosterol - Show strong hypocholesterolemic activity. This ability to reduce 'bad' plasma cholesterol levels and to increase serum lipolytic (fat burning) activity may explain their use in the prevention of atherosclerosis. An antihypertensive activity of substances with sodium-binding properties, e.g. a polysaccharide is also observed with use.
Gamma Oryxanol - Gamma Oryzanol is a natural nutrient extract isolated from rice bran oil. Many individuals who are involved in weight-training as well as aerobic exercise programs are using Gamma Oryzanol as a natural steroid alternative to help develop lean muscle mass and improved definition and others use to rehab aging or injured tissues.
Inosine - Inosine belongs to a chemical family known as purine nucleotides. It penetrates cell walls of both cardiac and skeletal muscle and once inside promotes the manufacture of ATP, the substance in the body that allows muscles to contract.
Lignoceric Acid - A healthy saturated fatty acid that does not store as fat but is used directly in hormone regulation and energy production.
Methoxyisoflavone - It was determined that Methoxy Isoflavone is highly anabolic (increases protein synthesis) with no androgenic side effects.
Myristic Acid - Impact of myristic acid versus palmitic acid on serum lipid and lipoprotein levels in healthy women and men has been touted as a remedy for those who do not process fat efficiently.
Octacosanol - Policosanol has been shown to normalize cholesterol as well or better than prescription cholesterol-lowering drugs, without side effects such as liver dysfunction and muscle atrophy. Efficacy and safety have been proven in numerous clinical trials, and it has been used by millions of people in other countries.
Policosanol - Lowers harmful LDL-cholesterol and raises protective HDL-cholesterol. HDL-cholesterol removes plaque from arterial walls.
Palmitic Acid - Recent studies have shown that the feeding of palmitic acid, a C16 fatty acid, results in an increase in the production of high density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol. In addition, the C16 fatty acid has been shown to be less hypercholesterolemic than the C12 to C14 fatty acids. Palm oil, also has the distinction of having more palmitic acid at the C-2 position of the glycerol component than any other common vegetable oil. It has been shown that infants thrive on fat formulas with a high palmitic content at the C-2 position.
Ribonucleic Acid (RNA) - Ribonucleic Acid is a complex protein that copies instructions for new protein production from the DNA genetic blueprints in the cell's nucleus, and carries those instructions to the cell's polyribosomes, where the new proteins are produced from materials already available and waiting.
Smilax Officinalis Extract - The method of this ingredient's action is less as a secernent than a sustainer of capillary circulation and its ultimate benefits are seen only after long use as a blood cleaner and nutrient carrier. If you want results, saturate the body for a prolonged period of time and do not stop.
Superoxide dismutase (SOD) - The main antioxidant in the eye lens and one of the body's two natural antioxidant enzymes. Zinc, copper, selenium and manganese are required for synthesis and are found in both this product and our Perfect Vitamin. Reduces high blood pressure and prevents cataracts. In animals of any species those with the highest level of SOD live the longest.
Stearic Acid - Research indicates that stearic acid is unique amongst the fat world. Unlike other saturated fats, stearic acid has a neutral effect on blood cholesterol similar to oleic acid, which is important when considering maintaining cardiovascular health. A proposed mechanism for the similarity between oleic acid and stearic acid is the rapid conversion of stearic acid to oleic acid by action of a delta-9 desaturase in the liver.
Stigmasterol - Assists in the conversion of linoleic acid to polyunsaturated fatty acids. This process is essential for the conversion of the Omega 6 fatty acids to prostaglandins and leukotrienes. Prostaglandins and leukotrienes are hormone like substances which are involved in immune support; they assist in the reduction of thrombo-embolic disorders by reducing platelet aggregation and they also assist in the reduction of inflammatory metabolites.
